Uncle Stevaun captured this image on Christmas Eve and we just got a hold of it ... a beautiful reminder of what a happy lil' soul Nico has been from the start!

Sunday morning we had our dear friends Molly and Ben over.  It was Ben's first time meeting Nico and we all laughed pretty hard at the two of them getting to know each other!  Molly has already made a pretty big impression on Nico and he just loves to be in her arms.  We think they look pretty good with a baby - hint hint hint ...

We had a fabulous weekend with a long overdue visit from uncle Stevaun.  It was incredible to have him and Nico spent many an hour in his arms ... cooing and napping, laughing and playing!  We are so lucky to have uncle Stevuan so close by and can't wait to see him again soon.

Nico had a busy day ... it started off with a nice walk in the morning and PEP class with lots of our new friends!  We then got a call from Nana that she was passing through so we rushed home for a few cuddles.  Nico is also working on getting used to his nursery crib so we spent some time in the afternoon playing around (as you can see he barely fits sideways now) ... so far he likes it as long as there is no sleeping involved!

Monday was a pretty gloomy day here in Santa Barbara so we did our best to enjoy being inside.  Nico had a blast playing on one of his favorite new blankets from Nana and then slept like an angel for most of the afternoon.  He is changing so much and his expressions continue to develop along with his personality ... so far he is a pretty happy little creature!

Nico's newest love is the bath!  He just adores being in the warm water and splashing around.  Aside from early mornings in bed, it is his favorite time of day ... we enjoy it quite a bit as well I must say. 

Nico had an incredibly busy week filled with lots of outings ... there was plenty of walks and lunch dates as well as yoga class with our favorite teacher Tracy and play group with some old and new friends.  With all the excitement, Friday ended up turning into a cuddle day and he spent most of it napping before Nana got here.  The pic is of his favorite position to nap in (leaning on one arm and keeping the other tucked in just below).  It was a short, but sweet visit  with Nana and Nico enjoyed every second in her arms!  We miss her so much and hope she will be back soon with Papa Smith for a longer stay.

Early morning playtime continues to be Nico's favorite part of the day ... what an amazing ray of sunshine to wake up to each morning!

Yesterday we went on a beautiful walk with our friend Natalie and her new little bundle of joy Mayah.  We stopped at the Courthouse for playtime, but the munchkins seemed more interested in their naps than getting to know each other!  Nico just wanted to cuddle when we got home so Bri got a rare pic of Mommy & Baby together ...

Grandma and Grandpa Perisho came to visit this weekend and we had lots of fun together.  Thanks so much for being here ... Nico already misses you both.

On Friday our dear friend Molly joined Nico for a walk downtown to visit Bri at the office.  We are so lucky to have her so close and Nico is pretty in love with his new walking buddy! 

It has been a busy week with Bri back at work and lots of outings for Nico now that I am back on my feet.  We try to be all together for lunch as often as possible ... Nico just loves the snuggle time with Daddy!

This weekend we had James and Diane over to finally get a little snuggle time with Nico.  They have both been so incredibly wonderful helping us over the past few weeks ... we feel so lucky to have them in our lives.  Thank you for all the grocery runs, swaddle lessons, and support each step of the way!

Uncle Richard also stopped by for a quick visit, but Nico was determined to keep him here so he fell asleep on his chest and delayed the departure for a couple more hours.  We love you Mogwai and hope you will be back down again soon!

Nico's favorite time of day is first thing in the morning ... he loves laying in bed and playing, smiling, grunting, and making faces of all kinds.  His personality continues to develop each day and we are enjoying getting to know this new life that has made ours so incredibly fulfilled!

Lots of people have come to visit ... Auntie Smooze came to make sure we were healthy and happy (Nico loved sleeping in her arms every morning).  He also got to meet his Great Grandfather Richard and spend some quality time with Papa Smith.  Nana Smith stayed to help while we got ourselves ready for Bri to be back at work.  It was so wonderful having everyone and we couldn't be more blessed for the love and support that surrounds this new little life!

Christmas was filled with love and support this year ... we had Grandma and Grandpa Perisho here helping us get back on our feet after a rocky first week!  Uncle Stevaun came for a quick hug and kiss, but will be back soon for some much needed cuddle time.  Thank you for everything, we truly could not have made it without you and can't wait to have you back soon.
